Online Jobs For Teenagers

online jobs for teenagers
Not too long ago, the best ways for teenagers to make money were by flipping burgers, cleaning dishes, and mopping floors. Fortunately, those days are long past.

The new and improved way for teenagers to earn money is through online jobs. They are easier, more enjoyable, very convenient, and extremely profitable. The only problem is that the internet is a very big place, and it can be difficult for teens to find legitimate work on the web. Don't worry though about this though, because I can help you overcome this obstacle.

In this article I will tell you about the five greatest online jobs for teenagers. Whether you just want a way to make a little bit of money in your free time, or you are looking for a full time job, I'm sure this article has the right job for you.

Squidoo

It might have a funny name, but that doesn't stop Squidoo from being one of the best online jobs that teenagers can get!

The first thing you will need to do is create an account on Squidoo's website. After you do this, Squidoo will allow you to publish your very own web articles. In your articles you can include text, pictures, and even videos.

Making web pages on Squidoo is a lot of fun, but what this a really great job for teenagers is the fact that you can earn quite a bit of money! This is because each one of your articles will have advertisements on it, and Squidoo will pay you 50% of all ad revenue that your articles earn.

At first glance, this might seem kind of like a scam. After all, you do all of the writing, and then Squidoo takes half of the money that your articles earn! But you have to remember that Squidoo pays for a lot of expenses too (web hosting, employees, marketing, etc.) But unlike Squidoo, all of the money you earn goes directly into your bank account! Pretty nice, huh?

Mechanical Turk

Another great way for teenagers to make money online is by using Mechanical Turk. This is website where companies hire people from all around the world to do simple tasks that they need to have done, but that computers are unable to do. A few examples of jobs you might do are writing short product reviews, determining whether or not a website is child friendly, choosing an appropriate category for a set of pictures, or thinking of creative titles for articles.

Overall, Mechanical Turk is a fantastic job for teenagers. It's low stress work, and it's very easy to do. The only problem with it is that you will not be paid very much. Generally, you can expect to earn only a few dollars an hour. However, if you have some spare time on the computer, why not earn some extra spending money?

eBay

The next online job that I recommend for teenagers is to work on eBay. The key to making money on eBay is to find an item that a lot of people want to buy, order that item in bulk from China, and then sell the product on eBay for more than you initially bought it for.

You might be wondering why people wouldn't just buy the product directly from China themselves, but there is a simple reason for this: most Chinese suppliers sell their product by the hundreds or thousands, not just one. So if you were a shopper that was looking for a new pair of sunglasses, it would make more sense for you to buy one pair of sunglasses on eBay $20, instead of buying 100 sunglasses for $10 a pair from China.

You'll need around $1,000 to start up your eBay business, but once you get going, this can be an extremely high paying job!

Sell Digital Photos

If you are a teenager that likes photography, then this is the job for you! All you need to do is take a few quality photos, upload them to a website that sells pictures, and then you will earn a commission each time someone purchases one of your photos.

The trick to making a lot of money with this online job is to be creative. There are already photos on almost every subject, so you will need to think a little bit outside the box if you want people to buy your pictures.

Fiverr

One of my all time favorite websites is Fiverr.com. This website is a place where you can hire people to do all sorts of things for only $5.

Or, in your case, you can get paid $5 to do things! :-)

Really and truly, you can do just about anything you want on Fiverr (as long as it's legal). Here are just a few examples of what people are offering to do:

  • I will draw a cartoon sketch of your vehicle for $5
  • I will teach you how to improve your memory for $5
  • I will write you a poem for $5

As you can see, they all start with "I will...", and then you say what you are offering to do for five dollars. All you need to do now is figure out what you skill you are willing to share with the world!

Summary

Well, that concludes my list of the top five online jobs for teenagers! If you are looking for a quick way to make money, then I recommend that you try out Fiverr, but if you want to have a full time online job, I recommend that you use Squidoo or eBay.

But no matter which job you decided to pursue, remember to have fun! After all, why should making money have to be boring?
